Living at the Top of Manhattan

I've lived in Inwood over six months now, with my life among the geese.
This picture is not all representative of my life in this neighborhood, of course.
I talk to neighbors, hang out in restaurants and bars, meet new people,
find new ways to stay creative. It's more urban and dynamic than lounging geese.
Still, It's not like anything one would expect of life in New York City, especially Manhattan.

Up here, we live north of the fictions of expectations that brought us to New York in the first place.
And that's, in part, why I like living here.
