Winter Solstice

The weather turned unseasonably mild on the first day of winter in New York City.

In Inwood Hill Park, a few trees showed off colorful berries.

A pair of ducks dozed off (although still attentive).

These ducks kept their own selves in a row.

What is this place? It doesn't look like Manhattan.

It is Manhattan. In many respects it remains Mannahatta, the island that Peter Minuit purchased from the Lenapes for the equivalent of 60 guilders.
