A Saturday Winter Walk in the Park with Dark Squirrels and a Regular Assortment of Birds
A Saturday walk in Inwood Hill Park began with a dark squirrel. |
The shorebirds flitted from one icy spot to another. |
Walking conditions were not ideal. At the new Muscota Marsh, nor was sitting. |
The downy woodpeckers were out and about. Well, at least one. |
Inwood should have hosted the Winter Olympics. |
The park would have made a nice venue for several sports. |
On the top of a tree, flashes of yellow darted about - American Goldfinches. |
Below, a House Sparrow observed whatever House Sparrows observe. |
