Funny, It Sure Looked Like a Snow Day

Today, it snowed in the city, snowing overnight and into the morning,
but is wasn't a "Snow Day."
The New York City schools stayed open.
Still, it was hard to drive,
especially if that meant locating the car.

By early afternoon, the snow gave way to a wintry mix, mostly a cold rain.
It was windy, so the winds made it hard to walk.

It was hard to play, too.
I overheard a couple of children contemplating playing on "the mountain,"
but they opted for a less ambitious playground.
 For a true Snow Day, we should let the snow just be, admired from afar.
