Altocumulus

The Merriam-Webster Onlune dictionary defines this cloud formation thusly, "fleecy mid-altitude cloud formation consisting of large whitish globular masses with shaded portions."

The altocumulus clouds hovered above Riverside Church and stayed with me until I caught the uptown 1 train at the 125th Street elevated station.
