This is Your Brain on a Renzo Piano Building

After work on Thursday, while waiting for the uptown 1 train at 125th Street, I took this picture of a construction site.
This is the new Jerome L. Greene Science Center at Columbia University's Manhattanville Campus. Scheduled for completion in 2015, the building will house the interdisciplinary Mind Brain Behavior Initiative for the study of the brain. Architect: Renzo Piano.
The center will be one of two major works by the noted architect to open on the west side in 2015.
Piano also designed the new Whitney Museum, currently under construction on Gansevoort Street
next to the High Line.

While Renzo Piano's downtown Whitney sits adjacent to a repurposed rail line,
the Columbia University science center sits next to fully functional (well, most of the time) tracks.
